Kwanzaa & Open Mic Event

Hosted by TBSP, TACTS, and In Demand Ent.

Over 100 individuals attended the event, which was a great success. Young people from all over Chicago shared their incredible talents with the community, making the night even more special. The event was also an occasion to honor the winners of the Essay Contest, presented by TBSP and BDM Sports Education.

Kwanzaa is a holiday that celebrates African American culture and heritage. It takes place from December 26th through January 1st and is based on seven principles: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith. The event hosted by TBSP, TACTS, and In Demand Ent. was a perfect way to celebrate this holiday and bring people together. The open mic night allowed young people to showcase their talents and express themselves in a positive and welcoming environment. The winners of the Essay Contest were also recognized for their hard work and dedication to their education. Overall, the event was a great success and a testament to the strength and unity of the Chicago community.
